Are you looking for area running clubs or races to train for your CBHM run? Here are a few we highly recommend.

Upper Valley Running Club

The Upper Valley Running Club is a running club for all levels of runners serving the Western New Hampshire/Eastern Vermont area. They are centered on the Hanover/Lebanon/White River Junction triangle. They encourage people to run in The Upper Valley Running Series 2018.

Upper Valley Trail Runners

Located in the Upper Valley between Vermont and New Hampshire, they welcome trail runners from down in the valley and beyond to join them on the trails! This group is affiliated with the UVRC (uppervalleyrunningclub.org).

You can usually find a Thursday night group run going on as well as some spontaneous runs throughout the week. They welcome users to host runs and help us explore the Upper Valley. The average distance for their runs are around 6 miles but they offer shorter runs as well. Most runs are social runs. They occasionally have workouts but also have easy runs for beginners. Trying to please everyone is a difficult task, bear with them. They just want to have fun.

Upper Valley Trails Alliance

The Upper Valley Trails Alliance advocates for the use, maintenance and development of trails in the region. Through education, outreach & stewardship we:
  • promote active lifestyles through trail use in all seasons
  • connect people and places through a regional trail network
  • lead a coalition of local trail groups and advocates

Promoting Active Lifestyles

We aim to build the most comprehensive trail resource available for the Upper Valley. Any season of the year, you can log on and find a trail to enjoy. We also provide printed guides and recreation books like the kids' Passport to Winter Fun. Check back often as we build out the trails directory, and help out by sharing your favorite trails.

Connecting People and Places

Trails are the geographic lifeblood of our community. Through volunteer efforts, we coordinate the maintenance of existing trails and the construction of new ones. We work closely with landowners and municipalities to secure access rights so that all may enjoy the benefits of trails. Whenever possible, we connect trails with each other to provide new avenues for recreation and travel.

Leading a Trails Coalition

From the Andover Mountaineers to the Windsor Sno Travelers, the Upper Valley is blessed with an abundance of trails groups. These groups cover diverse activities ranging from foot travel to motor sports, all linked by the common goal of securing safe, open, and respectful access to trails. We support all these groups and work together toward our common goals.

Woodstock Area Trail Runners (WATR)

This group is open to anyone interested in running trails in the Woodstock, VT, area. All levels and distances welcomed! Join WATR for twice-weekly group trail runs as you train for your first 5k or 50 miler trail race!
